KRS One and Paradise have all recorded a track together called U Must Learn put
together by The Good Samaritan Project which is currently doing the rounds on
the music channels. We speak with Skinnyman…How did you get involved with TGSMP?
I have known Charlie and Paradise for a long time. They reached out and asked me to feature on the record.
What was it like to work with people like KRS One and Paradise?
It was a good opportunity to make music with people of like minds in terms of what the music is saying.
Is it your plan to be perceived as quite a serious guy?
No, there is a time for everything. Time to laugh, time to cry and time to be serious.
What do you think of the negativity surrounding hip-hop today?
I think it is the opposite of the positive.
Ha Ha! Have you had any lyrical clashes lately?
My son murders me everyday lyrically.
What’s coming up from Skinnyman in the near future?
Priority is my son’s album. His name is Little Jigz and he’s 11 years old. I am continuing to support wateraid.org, a charity that works on providing clean drinking water for children worldwide.
